INTRODUCTION:

What is Mining?

Mining is the economic extraction of useful materials from the Earth. Mineral extraction has existed for millennia and has helped shape modernity. Historically, mining enriched few and hurt many through pollution, unsafe conditions, and insincere motives. Mining's future ought to be defined by thoughtful and sustainable action. This will enable us to produce the materials we need for today without infringing on the prosperity of future generations.
